No. The Imou Cruiser Dual 2 is a standalone WiFi camera that records directly to a microSD card (up to 256GB) or Imou cloud storage. It connects to your home WiFi and is controlled entirely through the Imou Life app on your phone. No NVR or DVR is required.
The camera records locally to the microSD card even without internet access. Remote viewing via the app requires an internet connection, but recordings are not lost if connectivity drops.
The fixed (static) lens continuously covers a wide area without movement, ideal for an overview of a driveway or entrance. The PTZ lens can be panned, tilted and zoomed remotely via the app to follow a specific person or vehicle, or preset to automatically track movement.
Yes. The Imou Life app provides live and recorded footage from anywhere with an internet connection. The camera supports simultaneous viewing from multiple devices.
Yes. The operating temperature range of -30°C to +50°C covers Abu Dhabi's summer conditions, and the IP67 weatherproof rating protects against both dust and water ingress.
Installation is optional — you can mount the camera yourself following Imou's instructions. However, professional installation ensures correct angle, concealed cabling, calibrated night vision and remote viewing set up on your phone before the engineer leaves. It is available for AED 120 in Abu Dhabi.
